Ice Cream Server/Cashier

In this lively role, you'll serve delicious ice cream treats, operate a touch screen menu, input orders and process cash and credit card transactions while ensuring every visitor leaves with a smile. Your energy and attention to detail will help maintain a fun, fast-paced environment that keeps customers coming back for more. Whether scooping up sweet delights or handling transactions with precision, you'll be a key part of our dynamic food service team. This position receives a TIP share. This is included in the estimated hourly pay listed. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings. Prepare and serve ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other frozen treats following established recipes and presentation standards. Operate our easy to learn order taking system and process sales accurately and efficiently. Handle cash transactions, give correct change, and manage cash handling procedures with integrity. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including counters, scooping stations, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards. Upsell additional items like toppings or specialty desserts to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Assist with food preparation tasks such as portioning ingredients or restocking supplies during busy periods. Support food industry best practices by practicing proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols at all times. Cleaning workstation including surfaces, floors, trash, indoor and outdoor seating areas, dishes and other tasks as necessary. Requirements No Experience Necessary - We Will Train You! Must be 15 years or older to apply. Pay Range Depends on Experience Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key! Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests. Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Capable of standing for extended periods while maintaining a lively and energetic attitude. Basic kitchen experience or culinary background is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining quality service. $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
