Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist them with menu selections, offering recommendations when needed. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly. Use reservation systems such as OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly during busy hours. Support food safety practices by adhering to sanitation guidelines and proper food handling procedures. Assist with other tasks like hosting or supporting bar service during peak hours or nightclub events. Experience Prior experience in food service, hospitality, or restaurant environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Experience in fine dining settings or upscale restaurants can be advantageous. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures is important. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally. Good time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts.
