Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms. Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure seamless transactions. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation. Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns quickly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience. Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for the next guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery, ensuring timely service in a fine dining or nightclub setting. Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for bills, and process payments using POS systems. Uphold sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in all service areas. Assist with host/hostess duties when needed, managing waitlists and guest flow to optimize seating efficiency. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience with a strong background in food service or hospitality environments. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation enhances your ability to serve confidently. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Strong sales skills with an aptitude for upselling menu items to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue. Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience working in fine dining establishments or nightclubs is preferred but not required. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities.
