Duties Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements, ensuring a positive first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience while increasing sales. Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling and sanitation protocols. Foster guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction in both fine dining and casual settings. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience or food service background is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and sales tracking. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience in serving or host/hostess roles with a focus on guest relations is desirable. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and service. Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous for understanding food presentation and preparation processes.
