Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling and sanitation. Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Manage tables effectively by bussing, resetting, and ensuring a clean dining area throughout service. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, maintaining food safety standards. Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize guest flow. Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment. Maintain knowledge of food industry trends, menu updates, and restaurant policies to deliver informed service. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs. Strong familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Culinary experience or background in food preparation enhances your ability to answer menu questions confidently. Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to maximize sales opportunities. Basic math skills for accurate check processing and cash handling operations. Experience in bussing tables, hosting/hostess duties, or night club serving roles is advantageous. Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and kitchen staff.
