Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest experiences by delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring that all dining needs are met. Your ability to build rapport with guests and provide knowledgeable recommendations will enhance their overall dining experience. Duties Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings. Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen staff efficiently. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables. Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and utensils. Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely food preparation. Assist in training new staff members on restaurant policies and procedures. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations. Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a positive demeanor. Knowledge of culinary terms and food preparation processes is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Familiarity with cash handling procedures is beneficial. A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
