Osteria Crescendo Summary The Server plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient service. Servers are responsible for guiding guests through the menu, ensuring orders are executed correctly, and maintaining the high hospitality standards of Heritage Hospitality Group. Key Responsibilities Guest Service & Hospitality Greet guests promptly and warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Present menus, explain specials, and make knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverage pairings. Educate the guest on the menu design, offerings, specials, special promos and brand as a whole and guide them through their experience. Accurately take guest orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar teams. Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner, checking back to ensure satisfaction. Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests. Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, escalating to management when appropriate. Pay close attention to guest dietary restrictions and allergies and properly communicate with the team for proper handling of the order. Be reasonably available for your guest while maintaining respectful space and not interrupting the guest's experience. Operations & Teamwork Set up and break down assigned sections, ensuring tables are clean, set, and ready for service. Stock, clean, restock, organize service stations, beverage coolers, coffee stations and other areas as instructed by supervisors. Support fellow servers, bartenders, bussers, and hosts to maintain smooth service flow. This includes assisting in seating guest, running food and clearing tables throughout the restaurant. Communicate effectively with kitchen and management teams to ensure order accuracy and guest satisfaction. Handle payment transactions accurately, process checks, and manage cash or credit card payments. Standards & Compliance Maintain full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods. Adhere to all responsible alcohol service guidelines and verify guest IDs when necessary. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices. Always uphold company service standards and policies. Follow steps of service and service standards according to brands expectations. Sales & Upselling Maximize sales by upselling menu items, specials, and beverages. Educate and promote offerings without being pushy or cheesy. Provide insights to guests about wine, cocktails, or dessert pairings to enhance their dining experience. Contribute to overall revenue goals by promoting special events or limited-time offerings. Qualifications Previous serving experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail. Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and passion for hospitality. Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in New Jersey. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying trays of up to 30 lbs.
