Server Assistant - Pink Adobe

The Pink Adobe is seeking a warm, organized, and attentive Server Assistant to support the front-of-house team and help create a smooth, welcoming dining experience. This role is essential to the rhythm of service, assisting servers, maintaining clean and polished tables, supporting guest needs, and helping the room feel cared for throughout each shift. Position Summary The Server Assistant supports servers, bartenders, hosts, and management by helping maintain the flow, cleanliness, and timing of the dining room. This position helps ensure tables are properly set, water is maintained, plates are cleared with care, and guests feel attended to without interruption. The ideal person is observant, efficient, respectful, and proud to support a team-centered style of hospitality. Key Responsibilities Greet and acknowledge guests warmly when assisting in the dining room. Prepare tables before service, including proper settings, polished glassware, silverware, menus, and table presentation. Assist servers with water service, bread service, clearing plates, resetting tables, and maintaining guest comfort. Run food and beverages as needed while confirming seat numbers, table numbers, and presentation standards. Clear tables quietly and professionally between courses without rushing the guest experience. Reset tables quickly and accurately for the next seating. Maintain clean, stocked, and organized service stations throughout the shift. Communicate clearly with servers, hosts, runners, bussers, bartenders, kitchen team, and management. Support pacing of service by watching table progress and anticipating what the server may need next. Assist with opening and closing side work, including polishing, restocking, sweeping, and dining room preparation. Follow all sanitation, food safety, and restaurant cleanliness standards. Bring guest concerns or service issues to a server or manager promptly. Service Expectations Move with purpose, but never make the room feel rushed. Be present, observant, and ready to help before being asked. Support a warm, relaxed, and polished Santa Fe style of service. Respect the guest experience by clearing, resetting, and assisting with quiet confidence. Work as part of the team and help wherever the service flow requires support. Qualifications Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate. Positive attitude and genuine interest in hospitality. Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Strong communication skills and willingness to take direction. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift/carry items commonly used in restaurant service. Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
