We are proud to serve families, regulars, and sushi lovers who choose us not just for the food, but for the experience. We are looking for a knowledgeable and personable Sushi Server who enjoys hospitality, understands sushi, and takes pride in creating memorable dining experiences. What You'll DoDine In Guest Service Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism Guide guests through our sushi menu and daily specials Confidently explain ingredients, preparation styles, and flavor profiles Offer thoughtful recommendations and pairings Maintain attentive, efficient service throughout the meal Ensure every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return Sushi Knowledge Understand sushi terminology including nigiri, sashimi, specialty rolls, and hand rolls Know the ingredients and components of each menu item Communicate allergies and modifications clearly to the sushi bar Represent our black rice concept and unique offerings with confidence Community Engagement Help build relationships with regular guests Represent Hiroba positively inside and outside the restaurant Contribute to a welcoming environment for families and local residents Support special events, promotions, and community-focused initiatives Team Support Work closely with sushi chefs and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service Complete assigned side work and maintain a clean section Assist with to go and third party orders when needed to support the team Maintain professionalism and urgency during peak hours What We're Looking For Serving experience required, sushi or Japanese cuisine experience preferred Strong communication and people skills Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment Reliable, punctual, and team oriented Someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and community interaction What We Offer Competitive hourly pay plus pooled tips Growth opportunities within the restaurant A supportive team environment The opportunity to deepen your sushi knowledge A workplace that values professionalism and community presence At Hiroba Sushi, we believe great service builds lasting relationships.
