Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring that all service standards are met. Duties Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Provide detailed menu descriptions and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience, including upselling specials. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly. Process payments accurately through cash handling and basic math skills. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and adhering to sanitation standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely food preparation. Assist with guest relations, ensuring that all guests feel valued and appreciated during their visit. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus. Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous. Culinary experience or knowledge of food handling practices is beneficial. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests quickly. Experience in cashiering and handling cash transactions is required. Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential for maintaining a safe dining environment.
