The J Resort is a full-service hotel-casino with over 500 rooms and wide variety of Slots and Table Games. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Greet guests immediately, guide them through our menus, while demonstrating genuine hospitalityProvide friendly and attentive service that makes our guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to returnAccurately record food orders ensuring each guest receives their meal to their exact specificationsEnsure all food and beverages are served promptly, garnished correctly, and meet the J Resort standard of excellenceEffectively communicate with our guests and other Team MembersFamiliarity with front of house operations systemsChecks identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol and follows the Nevada Alcohol Awareness Procedures and the J Resort Company PoliciesBe knowledgeable of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methodsWrite down food and beverage orders and input and deliver following the correct pace of serviceAssist Food Runner in delivering food to guests when ableCheck on guests throughout their dining experience, maintaining table cleanliness, refills, etc. in accordance with department standardsPerform all opening, side work, and closing dutiesProcess all payments and complete end of shift paperwork
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
Ability to follow written and oral instructionsKnowledge of P.O.S. system helpfulHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience1-2 years of previous experience working in a large volume restaurantMust be fluent in English and have good written an math skillsAlcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)Identification that establishes identityIdentification that establishes the right to work in the United States
