Position Overview:

As a Restaurant Server at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, you will provide an exceptional dining experience for our esteemed guests, delivering impeccable service with attention to detail. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a seamless and memorable experience that reflects the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming and luxurious dining experience. Guide guests through the menu with expert knowledge, offering recommendations and pairing suggestions. Take accurate food and beverage orders while accommodating special requests and dietary restrictions. Serve food and beverages following fine dining etiquette, including proper plate placement and wine service. Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs, ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience. Understand and explain menu ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles. Have a strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails, including proper pairing and presentation. Handle high-end table service techniques such as tableside preparation, decanting wines, and formal plating. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring cleanliness and proper food handling. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.

Qualifications and Skills:

Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Minimum of 2 years in fine dining, luxury hospitality or upscale restaurant service. Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities. Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service etiquette Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the restaurant's dress code and grooming standards.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs. Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
