Job Overview Italian Restaurant is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a casual Italian dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of the food industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests while ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests promptly with a friendly demeanor. Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences. Accurately input orders into the POS system and manage any special requests. Serve food and beverages in accordance with restaurant standards, ensuring timely delivery. Monitor tables to ensure guests have everything they need, including refills and additional items. Handle cash register transactions efficiently and accurately. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including bussing tables after guests leave. Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food handling guidelines. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods. Experience Previous experience as a Server in a fine Italian dining or upscale restaurant setting is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and OpenTable software is advantageous. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is required. Strong sales skills to effectively promote menu items and enhance guest experience. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
