Job Description
Overview Mira is looking for servers to join our team! Mira is a Mediterranean restaurant in the Elmwood Village. The menu highlights the cuisines of Italy, Spain, Greece and other countries that surround the Mediterranean Sea. We have a strong focus on house made pastas, charcoal grilled meats & vegetables and a Mediterranean focused beverage program. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for hospitality. They need to be energetic and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the goal to provide guests with a wonderful experience. Being a part of the team at Mira is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn and work alongside other passionate hospitality professionals. This jobs has an hourly wage + tips. Responsibilities Have full comprehension of the food & drink menus to be prepared for any quests questions/needs Execute service with efficiency to create an overall positive guest experience Open to working in our private event space upstairs if needed Maintain a sense of urgency Anticipate guests needs and have guest recognition Understand restaurant layout in order for food to be delivered correctly Stand for the entirety of scheduled shift Walk/move around the restaurant for the majority of scheduled shift Be able to hold warm plates in order to deliver food to guests in a timely fashion Qualifications Availability on week nights & weekend nights is required Proven experience as restaurant server or a similar role within the hospitality industry Wine, cocktail, food knowledge required Availability on weekend days is preferred for brunch Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests.
