SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences at various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and other special occasions. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing high-quality guest services while ensuring that all food and beverage offerings are presented beautifully and served efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO
Set up banquet function tables and break tables down, with required items according to property standards. Prepare, organize, and pre-sets all non-entree items to be used during the banquet including coffee, bread, butter, condiments, etc. Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards. Serve food and beverages to banquet and/or meeting break guests in a friendly and professional manner while ensuring guest satisfaction. Garnish and decorates dishes prior to serving. Observes guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed. Clear, resets tables, and properly stores banquet items at conclusion of each course/banquet. Supply and replenishes meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water. Provide assistance and direction to guests when necessary. Maintain a professional appearance. May perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Evening, weekend, and holidays hours may be required. Fast paced environment. Moderate to high noise level.
QUALIFICATIONS
Commitment to excellent guest service. Position requires multi-tasking abilities. Bending, stooping, and kneeling. Strong knowledge of food handling practices within the food industry. Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred. Excellent guest service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Basic culinary skills for food preparation tasks are advantageous. Familiarity with coffee service and beverage presentation is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and teamwork mentality. Previous experience in banquet serving or related roles is beneficial but not required. Ability to handle, carry, or lift items up to 25 pounds.
