Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Event Server, where your enthusiasm and hospitality skills will create memorable experiences for guests at a variety of events. In this lively role, you will be the friendly face ensuring seamless food and beverage service, delivering exceptional guest relations, and supporting event operations with energy and professionalism. Whether working at banquets, receptions, or catering functions, you will play a vital part in making every event a success while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service. Duties Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience. Assist with setting up event spaces, including arranging tables, linens, glassware, and utensils to meet event specifications. Clear tables efficiently during and after service, bussing dishes and maintaining cleanliness to uphold hygiene standards. Support food preparation and presentation by assisting culinary staff with plating or garnishing as needed. Handle food handling responsibilities safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures. Engage with guests to provide excellent guest services, answer questions about menu items, and accommodate special requests whenever possible. Assist in catering operations by delivering meals to designated areas and ensuring timely service during events. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth event flow, troubleshoot issues proactively, and maintain a lively, positive atmosphere. Maintain cleanliness of service areas throughout the shift, including resetting tables for subsequent guests or events. Support other hospitality functions such as coffee service or light food prep when required to enhance the overall guest experience. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is highly preferred; culinary or restaurant experience is a plus. Strong guest relations skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters positive interactions. Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper serving techniques. Experience with banquet service, catering operations, or hotel food service is advantageous. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably across event spaces, and lift moderate loads when necessary. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact confidently with guests. Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation practices required for safe food handling. Prior experience in coffee service or restaurant environments will be considered an asset. A proactive approach to customer service combined with flexibility to adapt to varying event needs.
