Job Description
Role:
Server Assistants are responsible for ensuring a memorable experience, through exceptional service. Our Server Assistants are the foundation of our team and are responsible for facilitating service, while supporting Captains on the floor and providing our guests with gracious hospitality.Responsibilities:
- Consistently supports a culture of Humble, Honest, Heartfelt hospitality.
- Communicates the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Back-of-House team members, Captains, Managers, and Chefs.
- Deliver, fill, and re-fill water, as requested by guests and/or directed by Captains.
- Clears and resets tables, and cleans table area, including banquettes during service.
- Responsible for making sure all tables and chairs/banquettes are clean and free of debris.
- Sets tables with proper settings.
- Wipes down chairs, tables, and banquettes.
- Stocks stations with supplies.
- Performs opening side-work as directed.
- Performs closing side-work as directed.
- Participates in, when applicable, marking tables for upcoming courses (apps, entrees, desserts).
- Reports all breakage, and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
- Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.
- Attends and participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings.
- Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
- Complies with Department of Health and company sanitation standards. Has a team player mentality, working cohesively and respectfully with other team members.
- Maintains the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all service and non- service areas both before, during and after service.
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards.
- May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
- Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.
- Participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings.
- Work with efficiency and a sense of urgency while remaining composed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in a busser role in a high-volume establishment.
- English fluency - additional languages a plus.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, trays, and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must have positive energy while working.
