Experienced server needed for busy casual American restaurant and bar in Pond Eddy near the Delaware River. Serving the local community, rafters, guests, and wanderers alike, The Outpost offers delicious burgers, steak, full restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, indoor and outdoor bars, as well as a campground, cabins, rafting, tubing, hiking and live music. Ideally your passion for hospitality, good food, and outstanding guest service will shine during our bustling lunch and dinner hours. In this lively environment, you'll play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences by delivering prompt, friendly, and professional service. Looking for an enthusiastic team player who is reliable, friendly, with a positive attitude and neat appearance. Must be able to multi-task and handle pressure well. Great atmosphere for success to create a comfortable, down to earth experience for guests. Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials. Take accurate orders using our POS systems, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are noted. Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation. Manage multiple tables during busy lunch and dinner shifts, prioritizing tasks effectively through excellent time management skills. Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in high-volume settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha or Micros for order entry and cash handling. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that fosters guest loyalty. Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences. Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Effective time management skills to handle fast-paced lunch and dinner shifts seamlessly.
