Job Description

The Allyn Lodge is a premier wedding and events venue in the heart of the Finger Lakes, just outside the charming village of Skaneateles, New York. The largest freestanding timber structure in the state, it features floor-to-ceiling windows and a deck with stunning views of a private pond and the surrounding landscape. The Lodge is currently hiring for a Full Time Banquet Server. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Run food from the kitchen to the event Maintain high service standards Serve all food and beverage items according to use records and established procedures Assists with busing tables when necessary Must strive for finer points of service such as making sure that the water glasses are filled, that the table is free from dirty dishes, etc. Exercise positive, warm hospitality Maintain knowledge of food items Must have excellent communication and guest relations skills Perform all Banquet side work as designated by the Banquet Captain and/or Banquet Managers Efficiently and properly perform all service standards. Attend to all needs of the guests during functions and function related duties Report to the Banquet Manager any need for housekeeping and/or repairs of banquet equipment Must follow all details as described on Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) Must be able to set tables to specifications, carry trays, and have excellent customer service experience Complete other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings Must have excellent communication and guest relations skills Ability to multitask and portray a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment Bar experience (a bonus!)
