Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. As a key member of our restaurant, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Your role is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and cared for from the moment they arrive until their departure. The ideal candidate will possess strong food and beverage knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality talents while working in a lively, upscale setting. Duties Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements, utilizing reservation systems such as OpenTable when applicable. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues that may arise during service. Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and manage basic math calculations for bills using POS systems. Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations. Contribute to a lively atmosphere by engaging with guests in a friendly manner, especially in nightclub or bar settings when applicable. Qualifications Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or upscale establishments. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently. Experience with reservation platforms like OpenTable is a plus. Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities. Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable; bartending or nightclub experience is a bonus. Knowledge of the food industry's best practices for upselling, guest relations, and sales techniques. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
