Job Description
Waiter/Waitress at a Diner in Akron, Ohio (Temporary Position) We are seeking a temporary waiter/waitress to join our team at a busy diner in Akron, Ohio. As a waiter/waitress, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests and ensuring that they have an enjoyable dining experience. No previous experience is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and take their orders promptly
- Ensure accuracy in order taking and relay special requests to the kitchen
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely manner
- Check on customers throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues that may arise
- Handle payments and process transactions accurately
- Keep the dining area clean and tidy at all times
- Assist with setting up tables and restocking supplies as needed
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent (12 pass)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English is preferred but not mandatory
- Friendly personality with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
