  • Part-time Job Summary The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in providing quality food service to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, and hospital settings.
This position involves assisting in meal preparation, serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a commitment to dietary safety and sanitation standards. Duties Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, dining room, and food service equipment. Buss tables and assist with cleaning dishes and utensils after meals. Collaborate with the dietary department to plan menus that meet nutritional needs. Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents' needs and preferences during meal times. Support culinary staff with cooking tasks as needed, ensuring timely meal delivery. Participate in training sessions related to dietary practices and food safety. Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals is preferred. Background in the food industry or culinary experience is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and dietary guidelines is essential. Experience in food service roles, including dietary aide positions, is an advantage. Familiarity with sanitation standards and safe food handling practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents and staff.
