PURPOSE OF POSITION

To ensure the best in banquet experiences to all guests. Provide excellent and efficient service in accordance with hotel, company and IHG brand established standards to achieve 100% customer satisfaction, loyalty goals, and exceed guest expectations.

REPORTS TO

Banquet Manager and Banquet Captain

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum education is a High School Diploma or GED. Prefer least 6 months prior banquet serving or other food establishment and prior hotel experience is preferred but not necessary. Company is willing to train the right person.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrates an outgoing, friendly personality Prior Server Experience in either banquets or food establishments Demonstrates the ability to follow directions Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time Prior problem resolving experience and acting pro-active Demonstrate organizational skills and eye for detail

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

1. Responsible to review and familiarize all Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) for client needs 2. Responsible to ensure rooms, tables and supplies are set up as directed 3. Responsible to maintain effective communications 4. Deliver all food and beverage items to guests as instructed 5. Maintain excellent service with all guests with pre-bussing, beverage refills and other replacements as necessary 6. Maintain all events by keeping guest, common areas and work stations clean, surfaces free of debris, coffee and other drink stations stocked and cleaned, trash disposed, areas and equipment wiped 7. Greet guests as available to create a positive atmosphere and increase guest satisfaction 8. Maintain knowledge of all hotel feature's and services in effort to direct future sales to proper channels 9. Report all unresolved issues or needs to supervisor 10. Perform all hotel, company and brand duties as trained 11.
