Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires a passion for hospitality and the ability to work collaboratively with both the front-of-house and kitchen staff. Responsibilities Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared correctly and any special requests are noted. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including the expediting station. Assist in setting up for banquets or special events as needed, ensuring all food service areas are well-prepared. Provide excellent guest services by responding promptly to any requests or inquiries from customers. Skills Strong background in hospitality with a focus on guest satisfaction. Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, with knowledge of kitchen operations being a plus. Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing is beneficial. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
