Cashier / Server — Afternoon & Evening Shift

We are seeking a reliable, people-first cashier and server to join our front-of-house team at the Yankton Store — a country store, diner, and pie bakery serving the rural community outside St. Helens, Oregon. This is an afternoon and evening position, and we are looking for someone who wants a consistent, regular weekly schedule and can show up for it dependably. Bonus points if you also know your way around a kitchen. We are a small, multi-skilled team, and people who can do more than one thing well are exactly who we're building toward.

UPDATE:

This position runs approximately 2:00pm-10:00pm. We need you available 4-5 days per week, including weekends. A regular weekly schedule is the goal — for both of us. Duties Greet and serve customers at the counter and dining area with genuine warmth Operate the register accurately, handling cash and card transactions Communicate clearly with kitchen staff on orders and timing Maintain a clean, stocked, and welcoming front-of-house throughout your shift Support kitchen operations as needed — food cart or kitchen experience is a real asset here Stock shelves, rotate and organize product in displays and storage, conduct inventory counts, and keep retail floor and storage areas clean and orderly Represent the store, its food, and especially its pies with enthusiasm Requirements Must be 18 or older — position involves alcohol sales Current Oregon Food Handler's Card required Current OLCC Servers Permit required, or ability to have it in hand before first shift Strong communication skills and genuine warmth with customers and coworkers Reliable, consistent, and honest — this is a small team and those things matter Comfortable in a fast-paced environment without losing your cool or taking it out on anyone Kitchen or food cart experience preferred; willingness to cross-train is a plus If you love pie and can talk about it like you mean it, the owner will notice To apply: Submit your resume through Indeed.
