Thai Orchid Restaurant (Downtown Salem) is hiring for full/part-time Server/Expo (FOH) to fit with our team. We are looking for an individual to learn and advances. Please reply with your resume here. Requirements
  • Be able to learn Thai Menu and Thai Food.

  • Be able to work Lunch and Dinner, Weekday and Weekend, and holidays. (We open everyday except Independence, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve , and Christmas day)
  • Split shifts are always possible.
  • Well communicate.
  • Friendly and polite.
  • OLCC Alcohol serving permit. (Preferred)
  • Food handler card. Preferred
  • Hosting experience or restaurant background will be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of beer and wine.
  • Working knowledge of Thai Food. This is a pretty basic Server/Expo/Host position with minimum wage plus tips.

We are excited to hear from you! Job Summary Join our vibrant team as an Expo/Food Runner/Server, where you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This dynamic position combines the energy of food presentation, efficient service, and guest interaction to ensure every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. You'll coordinate between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring food is prepared, plated, and served with precision and enthusiasm. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a lively, welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Responsibilities Expedite food from the kitchen to tables promptly, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist servers by delivering food orders efficiently while maintaining excellent guest service. Clear and reset tables swiftly, bussing dishes and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area. Support food preparation tasks as needed, including garnishing dishes and organizing supplies. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and payments. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to relay special requests or modifications from guests. Uphold food safety standards by handling food properly and maintaining sanitation protocols at all times. Provide friendly guest services by answering questions about menu items and restaurant offerings. Assist with banquet or event setups when required, ensuring smooth service during large functions. Collaborate with team members to maintain a lively, efficient work environment focused on guest satisfaction. Skills Proven experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments. Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transactions. Experience in food preparation, plating, or cooking enhances your ability to support kitchen operations. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members. Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus for supporting large events. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of hotel or culinary environments is advantageous for versatile service delivery.
