Description Fast paced Fine Dining restaurant in Fort Washington is looking for experienced Food Runners and Bussers for our new restaurant. Primary Responsibilities Food Running & Presentation Act as the direct connection between Back of House and Front of House Staff.
Inspect every plate for presentation standards, correct garnishes, and immaculate plate rims before it reaches the customer.
Deliver all dishes promptly at the correct temperature, to the correct guest
Confidently describe the ingredients and preparation of each dish to guests when placing them at the table. Table Maintenance & Bussing Swiftly, quietly, and elegantly clear tables of used plates, silverware, and glassware between courses.
Proactively refill water glasses and replace bread service without being asked.
Polish flatware, glassware, and service plates to meet cleanliness standards.
Ensure tables are wiped down, reset with pristine linens, and tableware before the next seating. Guest Experience & Floor Support Scan for dropped items, missing silverware, or empty wine glasses.
Assist servers in running drinks and other tasks as needed.
Utilize classic open-hand table service and maintain a polished, professional, and discreet demeanor. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience as a food runner, busser, or server in a high-volume upscale or fine dining establishment. Preferably 2 years.
General understanding of food safety regulations, proper table etiquette, and fine dining terminology.
Ability to carry heavy trays with multiple hot plates
Stand/walk for extended hours.
Exceptional verbal communication skills and a sharp memory.
