Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a positive attitude. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety. Manage guest inquiries, resolve concerns promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction through attentive service. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales. Assist with food preparation tasks such as bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations; support food handling procedures. Use openTable or similar reservation systems to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements during busy hours. Collaborate with team members to create a lively atmosphere that encourages guest engagement and repeat visits. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience or food service background is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest relations professionally. Demonstrated ability in upselling, sales techniques, and suggestive selling to maximize revenue opportunities. Good time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment. Hospitality-oriented attitude with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences through attentive serving and food industry expertise.
