Server/Cashier at Island House Island House is a family-owned, fast-paced restaurant that celebrates good vibes, great food, and friendly service. We're looking for a dedicated and upbeat Server/Cashier to join our team and help create the welcoming, easy-going atmosphere our guests know and love. Position Overview As a Server/Cashier, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth and accurate transactions, and maintaining high food safety and cleanliness standards. This is a fast-moving role ideal for someone who thrives in a team setting and enjoys engaging with people. Key Responsibilities Warmly greet guests and take orders with accuracy and a smile Operate the cash register and Aloha POS system to process orders and payments Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment Keep dining areas, counters, and workstations clean and organized Assist with food prep and service during busy hours, upholding quick-service standards Respond to guest questions or concerns promptly and professionally Perform accurate retail math for cash handling and transactions Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service flow, especially during peak times Qualifications & Skills Experience using POS systems Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Excellent customer service skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude Ability to handle high-volume service with grace and accuracy Basic math skills for cash handling and change-making Previous experience in a quick-service, fast-casual, or counter-service restaurant preferred Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming space Why Join Island House?
