Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Food Runner and become a vital link between the kitchen and our guests! In this energetic role, you'll ensure that food reaches tables promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Duties Deliver hot and cold food orders from the kitchen to designated tables efficiently while maintaining food quality and presentation standards Assist servers with clearing dishes, bussing tables, and resetting tables for new guests to ensure a smooth flow of service Support the kitchen staff by communicating guest orders clearly and accurately, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS when necessary Handle beverage delivery, including water, soft drinks, and specialty drinks prepared by bartenders or beverage stations Maintain cleanliness in dining areas by cleaning tables, resetting utensils, and assisting with general sanitation duties such as dishwashing and food handling Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food delivery and address any special dietary requests or modifications Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling procedures and ensuring all health regulations are met during food transport Qualifications Previous experience in food service roles such as bussing, hosting/hostess duties, or serving is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential Knowledge of restaurant operations including order taking, cash handling, and guest relations enhances your effectiveness in this role Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; strong communication skills are vital for coordinating with team members and guests Ability to stand for extended periods, lift trays or boxes safely, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience with food safety practices, dishwashing, cleaning routines, and basic food preparation is advantageous Hospitality background including banquet or catering experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; willingness to learn is key Embark on a rewarding journey in hospitality where your energy makes a difference!
