We are looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while delivering exceptional guest experiences with professionalism and personality. Located just outside Charleston, The Obstinate Daughter is proud to be recognized on the Michelin Guide Recommended list and is known for its ingredient-driven cuisine, elevated service standards, and vibrant atmosphere. This seasonal position offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent part-time role based on performance, reliability, and business needs. Position Details Seasonal Position Opportunity to move into a part-time position Flexible scheduling based on business needs Weekend and holiday availability required Day and evening shifts available Responsibilities Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to all guests Guide guests through food, wine, cocktail, and menu selections Maintain strong understanding of menus, daily features, and allergens Accurately enter orders using the POS system Deliver food and beverages efficiently and professionally Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive hospitality Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas Complete opening, running, and closing sidework Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, hosts, and management Uphold all service standards and restaurant policies Assist teammates to ensure smooth service flow during high-volume shifts Qualifications Previous restaurant serving experience preferred Fine dining or upscale casual experience is a plus Strong communication and multitasking skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Ability to remain composed under pressure Reliable transportation and punctuality required Preferred Qualifications Experience with Toast POS is a huge plus Familiarity with Resy is a plus Wine and cocktail knowledge preferred What We're Looking For Genuine passion for hospitality Strong work ethic and sense of urgency Professional appearance and demeanor Team-first mentality Coachable attitude and willingness to learn Individuals who take pride in creating memorable guest experiences If you are passionate about hospitality and want to work in one of the Charleston area's most respected restaurants this summer, we would love to hear from you.
