Job Description

Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Food Runner where your energy and hospitality skills will create memorable dining experiences for our guests. In this dynamic role, you'll serve as the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring food is delivered promptly and accurately while providing exceptional guest service. As a Food Runner you will be required to know all the courses and be able to explain them clearly to our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and hospitality operations within a lively restaurant environment. This position has growth potential. Responsibilities Deliver freshly prepared dishes from the kitchen to tables efficiently, adhering to Tailor's high level of service Listen to instruction of the chef, properly deliver food accurately and with precesion Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests, answering inquiries, and addressing special requests Buss tables promptly by clearing dishes and resetting tables to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently Support banquet events or large parties by coordinating food delivery and guest services as required Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting is essential Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods while maintaining safety standards Experience with food safety protocols, catering to guest needs, and working in hospitality or hotel settings is advantageous Prior banquet or catering experience can be beneficial but is not required; training will be provided Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences!
