Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team. As a Server at Pershing, you will play a crucial role in our Member experience, serving as the face of our brand and creating a welcoming environment for Members and their guests. The ideal candidate has a natural ability to make customers feel welcome, a knack for remembering preferences, and the ability to engage with diverse audiences. Success in this position requires teamwork, enthusiasm, food and wine knowledge, and a high energy level.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service:
Greet incoming and departing guests warmly. Curate the experience for regulars and make first-time guests feel like old friends.
Service Standards:
Exceed guest expectations by providing efficient, friendly service. Tend to special guest needs and requests promptly.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with associates, management, guests, clients, and vendors. Convey information and ideas clearly.
Operations:
Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment. Maintain high standards for work areas and personal appearance/grooming.
Compliance:
Protect the establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies.
Teamwork:
Demonstrate a desire to help out where needed and work as part of a cohesive team. Willingness to take guidance and direction.
Qualifications & SkillsExperience:
Minimum 3 years of hospitality experience in a similar position preferred.
Availability:
Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Work Ethic:
Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a positive attitude.
Adaptability:
Ability to multitask and handle high-volume situations.
Documentation:
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Certifications:
TABC and Food Handlers certification required.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that an associate must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Mobility:
Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, including stairs (up to 20 steps, 20% of the workday), uneven, or slick surfaces.
Activity:
Physical ability to supervise on-floor activities required 60% of the workday.
Support:
Limited physical requirements to assist various outlets during peak business demands (e.g., room turns, restaurant/kitchen help).
