Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Server to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service during breakfast hours, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role requires a professional attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with food handling, customer service, and restaurant operations is preferred to deliver top-tier hospitality in a fine dining or casual setting. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about breakfast offerings. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Simphony POS, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities. Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction. Clear tables, bus tables as needed, and assist with maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations. Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties if required, adhering to food safety protocols. Support team members during busy periods by providing excellent guest services, including host/host duties when necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Simphony POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relations. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently during busy breakfast hours. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining professionalism. Basic math skills for cashiering and transaction accuracy. Experience in serving, bussing tables, or host/host roles is advantageous. Must be able to work flexible hours during breakfast shifts in a fast-paced environment that values hospitality excellence.
