We are Houston's first Bangladeshi inspired coffee house located Uptown near the Galleria Mall. Founded by three immigrant sisters from Dhaka, Bangladesh, Moharani is a coffee shop that is a celebration of heritage, resilience, and female empowerment. Moharani, meaning "the great queen" in Bengali, reflects our mission to uplift and empower women, starting with ourselves and extending to the community we serve. Our mission is to establish a cultural hub where we redefine what it means to meet in the community by introducing Bangladeshi inspired street food, specialty coffee, and chaa, to Houston. Barista Qualifications Minimum 1 year of prior busser experience required Friendly and hospitable, with the ability to make customers feel welcome Strong communication skills; adaptable, punctual, and reliable Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure Inclusive mindset that values and celebrates diverse cultures and community Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and responsibility Proactive with strong attention to detail Excellent customer service skills Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs Must have a valid Food Handler's Permit in accordance with Houston, TX food service requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Benefits $10/hour + tips Full-time Paid training provided Employee Discounts Responsibilities Assist with prepping menu items Clean and maintain the restrooms and wash dishes regularly Maintain cleanliness through regular cleaning, restocking, and taking out trash Uphold quality and efficiency during busy service hours Ensure floors, tables, counters, and all surfaces stay clean throughout the shift Follow all food safety and food service regulations Work collaboratively with the team and assist wherever needed What are we looking for in a candidate? We are looking for a busser as an addition to our coffee house. An ideal candidate is passionate about maintaining cleanliness, assisting with prep, and dishwashing.
