Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Take customer orders accurately, relay them promptly to the kitchen, and ensure timely service Provide attentive guest service by answering questions about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies Maintain cleanliness of host/hostess station and dining areas to uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation Handle guest concerns with professionalism, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills Support serving staff during busy periods by delivering food and beverages when needed Use phone etiquette skills to answer inquiries and make reservations over the phone clearly and courteously Experience Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to connect with diverse guests Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency Experience in hotel or guest services can be advantageous for understanding guest relations and hospitality standards Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor Knowledge of serving protocols, restaurant operations, and hospitality best practices is a plus Previous experience handling phone inquiries with professionalism demonstrates strong phone etiquette This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow within the hospitality industry.
