Job Description

Overview We are a Thai restaurant seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive outstanding service in a fine dining environment. Your ability to manage time effectively, engage with customers, and demonstrate culinary knowledge will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guest preferences. Utilize Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order entry and payment processing. Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables as needed. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely food preparation. Assist with hosting duties as needed, including managing reservations. Experience Open to applicants over 21 years old (establishment serves alcohol). Responsible Beverage Service Training (State required certification). Food handler's card. Previous bartending or customer service experience preferred. Knowledge of popular cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits. Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, particularly in fine dining establishments. Culinary experience is a plus, enhancing your ability to engage with guests about menu items. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Proficiency in basic math for handling transactions and cash management effectively. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards within the food industry. Experience with POS systems. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Prior experience as a host or in guest services is beneficial but not required.
