Full Job Description Description:

Banquet servers facilitate food and beverage service at events, ranging from weddings to corporate conferences, by setting up rooms, serving meals (plated or buffet), refilling drinks, and cleaning up. Key tasks include transporting heavy trays, following event orders (BEOs), providing attentive guest service, and clearing tables between courses . Pre-Event Setup Setting up event spaces: Setting tables with linens, cutlery, glassware, and decorations.

Preparing service areas:

Organizing buffet stations, drink stations, and back-waiter stations.

Polishing and Cleaning:

Polishing silverware and glassware, and ensuring the room is pristine.

During the Event Welcoming guests:

Greeting patrons and providing polite, professional service.

Serving meals:

Carrying trays of food, serving plated meals, or managing buffet lines.

Beverage Service:

Taking drink orders, serving alcohol, and constantly refilling water and coffee.

Table Maintenance:

Clearing dirty dishes (bussing) between courses and ensuring tables stay clean.

Anticipating Needs:

Responding to special dietary requests or guest inquiries promptly.

Post-Event Cleanup Teardown:

Removing linens, clearing all service items, and cleaning the venue.

Restocking:

Cleaning and returning equipment to storage for the next event.

Requirements:

Key Requirements Physical stamina: Ability to carry heavy trays and stand for long periods.

Communication:

Effective teamwork with kitchen staff and other servers in English.
