Job Description

Salt Lake City, UT Apply Job Type Full-time Description Salt Lake City Marriott University Park is a beautiful hotel near the University of Utah with gorgeous mountain and city views, modern amenities and an excellent location adjacent to Rice-Eccles Stadium, our hotel provides smart, stylish lodging for business and leisure travelers visiting the Salt Lake City area. Hotel discounts for associates including free shift meals and on-site parking.
Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner and assist host or hostess in seating guests as needed.
- Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, service, appropriate wines, and food preparation.
- Memorize menu selections and wines including being familiar with daily specials and basic ingredients.
- Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous guest service experience is required.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis.
- Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of guests and co-workers.
