Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards, including fine dining service when applicable. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through effective suggestive selling techniques. Manage tables by bussing when needed, resetting for new guests, and maintaining cleanliness throughout service. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate any guest needs or special requests clearly. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable enhances efficiency in order processing. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations to ensure a safe dining environment. Experience with food preparation, serving techniques, and basic math skills for accurate cash handling. Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining a friendly attitude. Prior host/hostess or bussing experience is a plus for providing seamless guest experiences from arrival to departure.
