The recently renovated 205 guest rooms and suites offer scenic views of historic Charlottesville or the Blue Ridge foothills, complemented by thoughtful amenities for both business and leisure travelers. On-site features include indoor and outdoor pools, a fully equipped fitness center, and over 14,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, ideal for corporate events, weddings, and social gatherings. Overview:
The role of the Server is to wait on tables promptly, courteously and to serve the guest in any way possible.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge of fine dining service.
  • Must have full familiarity with menus.
  • Must have full knowledge of beverage offerings.
  • Station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
  • To polish and clean glass and silver wares.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
  • To have dollies' underliners ready.
  • To fold various napkins for service
  • Service to guests.
  • Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
  • Clean and maintain restaurant.
  • Knowledge of Micros Computer System
  • Help other associates whenever possible and maintain a dedication towards teamwork.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Must have strong communications skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have Food Handlers and ServSafe Alcohol Certification.
