Job Description

The Role:
Chesterfield Process Service is hiring a process server to join our Team! As part of our team, you would deliver legal documents, serve court papers, and assist with our field operations across the Metro Richmond and surrounding areas. This role is hands-on. There will be a variety of assignments and the chance to apply critical thinking in dynamic, real-world situations, making your every day on the road and in the field unique. No prior process serving experience? No problem — we provide full training and welcome applicants of all experience levels. Pay begins at $18/hour. There will also be performance bonuses and yearly raises that will cap out at managements discretion. This role is ideal for motivated, adaptable candidates who enjoy fieldwork, problem-solving, and working independently with team support.

Role:
18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S. Own a smartphone with high-speed data for navigation and mobile app use Have strong written and verbal communication skills (in English) Comfortable working independently, exercising real-time judgment with access to staff support Be willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) Be a safe, cautious, and confident driver Professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting with others Consistent, honesty and maintains high integrity when signing sworn statements Your Responsibilities in this
Role:
Serve legal documents (summonses, subpoenas, and other court papers) for ongoing court cases Deliver, pickup, and retrieve court, law firm, and client documents accurately and on time Locate and gather information on individuals in the field File motions, affidavits, and other legal documents as needed Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and document recipients, maintaining discretion and professionalism in all interactions Maintain accurate records of all service attempts, deliveries, and assignments Our Preferred Qualifications for this
Role:
Applicants with prior experience or familiarity with legal services, customer service, driving or delivery roles Applicants with a clean driving record with minimal traffic violations or at-fault accidents Excellent conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make quick, sound decisions and assess information accuracy in the field through analytical skills
