Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Server and be the welcoming face that creates memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a vital member of our restaurant, you will deliver exceptional customer service, ensure food and beverage orders are accurately taken and efficiently served, and foster a lively, engaging atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a fast-paced, upscale setting. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and communicate orders clearly to the kitchen staff. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through effective suggestive selling techniques. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met by adhering to proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols. Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and providing personalized service to foster guest satisfaction. Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed during busy shifts. Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub experience. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as familiarity with OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally. Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Previous experience in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles is highly desirable.
