Legal Fieldwork Process Server and Delivery Driver

Overview Cavalier Courier & Process Service (Cavalier) is seeking a process server & delivery driver to join our Office in Leesburg in this Part-Time role ! As a process server in this role, your responsibilities will involve delivering legal documents, serving court papers, and assisting with field operations across the DC Metro-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) region. There will also be occasional opportunities to volunteer for nationwide travel assignments across the U.S. This is an in-person and hands-on role at our Leesburg office which offers a variety of assignments, exposure to high-profile legal cases, and the chance to apply critical thinking in dynamic, real-world situations, making every day on the road and in the field unique.

Pay:

$17.25 Base rate + up to $2/hr bilingual Spanish differential

Schedule:

Afternoon-evenings and weekends Have no prior process serving experience? No problem — we provide full training. The Pay begins at $17.25 per hr. We provide a $2/hr wage differential for those with fluent or conversational Spanish speaking skills. Shift availability includes afternoon, evenings, and weekends. Cavalier, You Will:

Serve legal documents (summonses, subpoenas, and other court papers) for ongoing court cases Deliver, pickup, and retrieve court, law firm, and client documents accurately and on time Locate and gather information on individuals in the field File motions, affidavits, and other legal documents as needed Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and document recipients, maintaining discretion and professionalism in all interactions Maintain accurate records of all service attempts, deliveries, and assignments

Job:

Be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S. Have a valid driver's license Own a smartphone with high-speed data for navigation and mobile app use Have strong English written and verbal communication skills Be comfortable working independently, and using real-time judgment with access to staff support Willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) Safe, cautious, and confident driving in the DC-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) area Be professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting with others Be consistent, honest, and maintains high integrity when signing sworn statements
