Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions swiftly and accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments. Prepare simple food items or assist in basic food preparation tasks in accordance with food safety standards. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales by recommending popular or new products. Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing work areas, and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly while maintaining quality standards. Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when needed, ensuring smooth operation of the café or quick-service environment. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with food preparation or culinary tasks is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is essential.
