Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated dietary team as a PRN Server, where your enthusiasm and commitment to exceptional service will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. In this flexible, as-needed role, you will be responsible for delivering delicious meals with professionalism and care, ensuring a positive dining experience for residents in assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare settings. Your role is vital in promoting nutrition, safety, and comfort through timely meal service and attentive customer care. Responsibilities Serve meals to residents or patients with a friendly, professional attitude, adhering to dietary guidelines and safety standards Maintain cleanliness of dining areas by bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper sanitation practices in accordance with food safety regulations Support the dietary department by helping with food handling, storage, and basic food preparation tasks as directed Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy trays or supplies to prevent injury Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately during meal service and sanitation procedures Collaborate with kitchen staff and dietary aides to ensure timely delivery of meals and accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions Skills Previous assisted living or dietary aide experience preferred; experience working with geriatric patients is highly valued Knowledge of food production, food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in healthcare or food industry settings Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy meal times Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude toward residents or patients Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills Understanding of workplace safety standards related to food service environments Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation CPR certification and knowledge of proper use of PPE are desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed Join us in creating a warm, welcoming dining experience that supports the health and happiness of our residents!
