Server and Food Runner A Food Server is responsible for taking orders from restaurant patrons and delivering their food to them. Their duties include explaining the menu to their customers, communicating with kitchen staff and balancing dishes as they bring them to the appropriate table. Responsible for packing order and contacting delivery (Third Parties). Knowledge of the POS System. A Food Runner is responsible for quickly and accurately delivering orders from the kitchen to customers at the restaurant. Restocking side stations with ice, glassware, and other supplies. Before clients arrive by ensuring napkins, decorations, and utensils are all on the tables. Ensuring they meet food safety principles when taking food to clients, and cleaning tables and floors after guests have left. Help Waiters / Waitresses maintain a clean environment. Reporting to management as needed.
