Job Description
Are you a wine enthusiast with a passion for pairing great food with great wine?
Taverna Tagaris, located at Tagaris Winery in Richland, WA, is recognized by Zagat as 1 of 8 wineries in the world with fabulous food. Tagaris is seeking experienced fine dining servers who can perform at the highest level of guest services and restaurant efficiency. A fine dining server's job is to provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Attention to detail of every facet of the dining experience is required. A fine dining server performs the following duties with ease and grace: A love for and knowledge of wine is a must. Become very familiar with the restaurant's menu and its wine and cocktail lists by attending regular trainings and knowledge testing. Provide excellent customer service, answering questions about the menu, the wine, the cocktails, and making recommendations. Work with kitchen, bartending staff, host and bussers to ensure a seamless dining experience. Maintain table appearance, resetting tables and preparing the dining area for special events. Maintain side work, polish glass and silverware, fold napkins, to par levels for efficient service. Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant at all times. Fine dining servers must be able to speak in depth about wine, describe menu items and its pairing with wine , be able to memorize the menu, specials, wine and cocktail lists, be able to work well with all other restaurant staff and adhere to the steps of hospitality required for fine dining. If you are a friendly, outgoing person with excellent people skills who can multitask, remain calm under pressure and work well in a team environment who is enthusiastic to be part of a team and work in an acclaimed winery environment, then this is the job for you. Five-shift trial period, 15 day initial review and regular reviews thereafter.
