This individual will play a key role and is usually one of the first, and last, points of contact for our guests in their dining experience that leads to creating exceptional first and last impressions for our guests. Server Assistant Position Summary The Server Assistant plays an essential role in creating exceptional dining experiences by supporting the restaurant team in delivering prompt, efficient, and attentive service to every guest. Working closely with Servers, Hosts, Bartenders, and Kitchen Team Members, the Server Assistant helps ensure the dining room remains clean, organized, and fully prepared while assisting with food delivery, table maintenance, and guest requests. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in providing outstanding hospitality. The Server Assistant anticipates the needs of both guests and fellow team members by maintaining clean and properly set tables, replenishing supplies, delivering food promptly, refilling beverages when appropriate, and assisting in creating a seamless dining experience from beginning to end. Success in this role requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a genuine commitment to providing exceptional guest service. Essential Responsibilities
  • Support Servers by assisting with food and beverage service to ensure guests receive timely and attentive service.
  • Deliver food orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper food presentation and quality standards.
  • Clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables promptly to prepare for arriving guests.
  • Refill water, beverages, bread, condiments, and other guest requests as directed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, beverage stations, and work areas.
  • Stock and replenish plates, glassware, silverware, linens, condiments, and other restaurant supplies throughout each shift.
  • Assist in setting tables according to restaurant standards.
  • Communicate effectively with Servers and Kitchen Team Members to ensure efficient service.
  • Respond courteously and professionally to guest requests while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and side work responsibilities as assigned.
  • Support overall restaurant operations by performing additional duties as needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and dining room service preferred.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and remain organized during busy service periods.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to safely carry trays, bus tubs, and restaurant supplies weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and move continuously throughout the shift. Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous restaurant, food service, hotel, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Hospitality experience is a plus; we are willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Must obtain and maintain all applicable state and local certifications required for the position, including Food Worker Cards or other required permits.
  • Alcohol service certification may be required depending on assigned responsibilities.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and flexibility with scheduling needs.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with hotel brand and guest service standards.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient during busy situations.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus. Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, and move throughout the restaurant.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent guest service and attention to detail.
  • Ability to safely navigate crowded dining and kitchen areas while carrying food, beverages, and supplies.
Appearance Standards Team Members are expected to maintain a professional, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times. Uniforms and appearance guidelines will be provided during orientation and must be followed in accordance with company standards.
