Take accurate drink and food orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales potential. Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area in compliance with food safety regulations; bus tables and reset stations efficiently. Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or cash registers. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours. Assist with food handling, sanitation practices, and proper food safety procedures to uphold health standards. Provide excellent guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations. Support team members during events such as nightclub nights or special functions to ensure seamless service delivery. Skills Proven experience in food service or hospitality roles, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities. Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations during peak hours smoothly. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing. Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience in serving alcohol responsibly while adhering to legal regulations and responsible beverage service practices. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special event shifts; previous host/hostess or bussing experience is a plus. Knowledge of culinary techniques or kitchen experience can enhance your ability to support food presentation and guest satisfaction.
